Xeriscape to save water and lower water bills!
Xeriscaping (not 'zero-scaping') is a way to build or reinvent landscapes using plants with a lower need for water, or those which are drought tolerant. Some xeric plants are native to Colorado while others are native to other arid areas around the globe. Many times, large areas of turf are divided so that part is left as lush green turf, while the other is sculpted into a drought-tolerant garden. Xeriscaping should not be confused with "Zero-scaping" in which no water is used at all!
